Changes in Name or Contact Information Please notify the parish office of any change in name, address, or phone number.

Parish Registration Are you new to the area?  Are you interested in becoming Catholic?  Welcome!  So that our community may be better served, all families of our parish are encouraged to fill out our family census form.  We must know that you belong to our parish in order to issue sponsor forms for Baptism and Confirmation; preparation for the Sacrament of Matrimony; as well as school and character references. Individuals may register by dropping off or sending the family census form to the parish office.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) Are you interested in learning more about becoming Catholic or renewing your Catholic faith? Are you baptized but have not received the other Sacraments and would like to?  Learn more about our RCIA program here.

Envelopes Parish envelopes act as an important sign of our commitment to the welfare of the parish. Regular use of parish envelopes provides the pastor with a record of parish income, thus allowing for future financial planning. Contributions enclosed in envelopes are recorded at the office, and parishioners are provided with a record of their contribution at year’s end. Contact the parish office to receive envelopes. Contributions to St. John’s Parish may also be made by automatic withdrawal from your checking or savings account. Please call the parish office for details (570-253-4561).

Appointments with Priests Appointments may be made by calling the parish office (570-253-4561) or talking directly to a priest. Whenever possible, schedule the appointment with the priest with whom you wish to speak prior to stopping by the office.

Ministry to the Homebound or Sick Our priests bring Holy Communion during the first week of the month (around the time of First Friday) to those parishioners unable to attend Mass regularly. If you or a loved one are interested in a monthly visit, please contact the parish office.  If you or a loved one will soon have surgery or are in the hospital and would like to receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick, please call one of our priests through the parish office at 570-253-4561.  Our answering service will contact a priest for emergency calls after office hours.  Note that the priests and office staff do not always know whether a person is in the hospital because of confidentiality laws – therefore please call.
