As Jesus is made present to us through the Holy Eucharist, parishioners are encouraged to actively participate in the liturgy and to receive the Sacrament regularly.  The Mass is briefly explained here.  Children in second grade are prepared for First Holy Eucharist in our religious education program.  First Communion is usually celebrated around May at all of our churches.  The reception of First Eucharist is part of the Sacraments of Initiation, which adults receive at the conclusion of our RCIA program.
