St. John the Evangelist Church

Thank you to everyone for your wonderful support over the past year!  With gratitude, John Propeack and all the members of St. John’s choir.

St. John the Evangelist Choir, formed in 1975, has a long history.  In 1988 the choir sang for Pope John Paul II in St. Peter’s Square in Rome.  The choir performs an annual Christmas concert in mid December, and sings at the 10:30 AM Mass from September until July 4th.  Practices are at St. John’s Church on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM.

If you are interested, please contact John Propeack (570-253-1112) to schedule an informal tryout (no pressure!)

Practices are held on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM at St. John the Evangelist Church, and (often because of the winter weather) following the Sunday 10:30 AM Mass.  We are in need of altos and tenors.  Please consider joining the adult choir, especially if you are a young person who has wanted to join in the past but was never asked.  Don’t leave your gift of musical talent at the door!
