Until Further Notice
By directive of our Bishop, Most Reverend Joseph C. Bambera, effective immediately, all public celebrations of the Holy Mass have been suspended. The dispensation from the obligation to attend Holy Mass currently remains in effect at this time.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass:
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered privately by the priests of the parish,and for the intentions which have already been announced in the bulletins and scheduled in the parish Mass Intention book. While these Masses will be offered on the day they were scheduled, they will be offered by the priests of the parish privately, and at a different time and location than announced.
St. Mary Magdalene will be open for the private prayer of the faithful during office hours (Monday through Thursday, 9a.m. until 4p.m.; Friday, 9a.m. until 11:30a.m.)
The Adoration Chapel will remain open for prayer as usual.
By the same directive of our Most Reverend Bishop, effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020, the schedule for the Sacrament of Confession is suspended. When an individual approaches a priest for the Sacrament of Confession, a distance of 6 feet between the priest and penitent is required, and the priest is required to disinfect the space following the sacrament.
Stations of the Cross:
By the same directive of our Most Reverend Bishop, the public praying of the Stations of the Cross has been cancelled.
Baptisms, Funerals and Weddings:
Our Most Reverend Bishop has reminded that these may continue, with attendance limited to immediate family members, and in compliance with the recommendations of the Center for Disease Control, these celebrations must be limited to no more than 50 people.
